HISTORY

I was born in Israel, 1979.

A self-taught artist, I have been illustrating professionally since age 12. My first job was illustrating songs for sing-along slides. I did illustrations for family, friends, was the sole comics writer for my junior high-school newsletter, and did by-demand paid artwork for the school.

During the first years of high school, I volunteered at an institution for mentally disabled, where I did  one-on-one “art therapy” with one of the women there, and instructed a group drama and arts weekly workshop with a friend.

At 21, I decided to apply to art schools in the U.S. I got accepted to the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. I spent two years at CCAD, a year of which I studied the required general arts, and a year of which I majored in Industrial Design. Simultaneously, I volunteered with a local non-profit organization called Mad Lab as their publicity director, and did most of  their advertisement design as well.

At the end of Spring 2002 I moved to Cleveland after being accepted to the Cleveland Institute of Art. During the summer I started my career as a freelancer, doing paintings and murals. I got hired to paint murals in a couple of children’s rooms, and started a  series of illustrations that would turn into a children’s story and an exhibit. In the course of discovering what painting for a living involved, I decided to change my studies to Business Marketing.

For the past three and a half years I have painted and Illustrated numerous rooms and businesses. In 2005 I completed a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree at Cleveland State University.

I am currently looking for public and non-public venues through which I can get my work known around the Cleveland area. I enjoy working with different people and designing ideas for the people I am working with, and I am highly capable of catering to different needs.

This is my first mural - at the age of 13. It was the first time I ever drew such a large image, and I liked it so much I sketched all over the rest of my walls and the door as well...
